This is everyone’s favorite video, with Vermont’s famous fall foliage from start to finish. You’ll explore this annual display of color while touring through small towns, back roads, and many covered bridges nestled among the leaves.

Small towns, waterfalls, and a boat trip on the Otter Creek begin this video tour through blazing foliage colors. The Otter Creek was a major route for early travelers. Today the Carillon takes visitors up the creek to the waterfalls at Vergennes.

A trip on the Bailey Hazen Military Road in northeastern Vermont, where early settlers built their homes, reveals Vermont’s absolutely fantastic autumn foliage. After this show of colors, part of this road, a pass through the mountains known as Hazen’s Notch, closes for the winter.

The Connecticut River defines the border between Vermont and New Hampshire. This video follows that ancient travelway from the railroad town of White River Jct., through Vermont’s birthplace in Windsor and on to Brattleboro, where Estey Organs once were built and shipped around the world.

On the way, you’ll stop at the Rockingham Meeting House. This building is over 200 years old and originally served as meeting house and church. Inside are square pews where early churchgoers had to bring heated foot stones to keep warm during winter sermons.

And, of course, there are many covered bridges, each one surrounded by blazing color, and each one with its own personality from Waterville’s Kissing Bridge to Middlebury’s two-lane “Pulp Mill Bridge”.

This video tour is filled with trips for your enjoyment, including a railroad ride, a harvest festival, making cider from the fall crop of apples and, of course, the covered bridges.
